How every adapter works
Install the adapter for your runtime.
The free local hard gate applies safer defaults.
Paid pilot: the Dexgate policy runtime evaluates important actions before they run where the runtime exposes a native pre-execution hook.
Paid pilot only: authorize decisions and Passports are recorded for review (dashboard + evidence). Free mode has no org-wide decision stream.
Host permission modes vs dexgate
Agent hosts (including Grok Build) increasingly ship fleet-wide defaults for permission modes—ask, auto/classifier, always-approve—so teams can reduce prompt fatigue. That is useful and complementary.
- Host mode controls how the agent harness prompts the human.
- dexgate free still applies a local hard gate on high-consequence tools.
- dexgate paid still runs DECIDE → ISSUE → VERIFY → RECORD on the Dexgate policy runtime for entitled production-bound actions—even if the host would have auto-approved.
